Focus TIG 161 DC HP – a single-phase (230 V) inverter welding machine – is ideal for welding directly on the construction site or for workshop work, where high flexibility of the welding process and mobility of the device are of primary importance. This is the smallest Migatronic TIG welder with a pulsed arc welding function. This function provides stable control of the weld pool, especially when welding in different positions and welding thin sheets. By using HF contactless high-frequency ignition or TIG touch arc ignition, the device can be used in all working conditions. The Focus TIG 161 DC HP is equipped with a PFC (Power Factor Correction) function. PFC is an electronic circuit that ensures maximum power utilization and minimizes power loss in the electrical grid. The Power Factor Correction /PFC/ function ensures maximum power utilization and allows welding at about 25% higher welding current, using 16 A mains fuses.
New technology provides a mains voltage tolerance range of -40 to +10%, this allows welding with long mains cables or from a generator as a power source.
The machine is also suitable for MMA /shielded electrode/ arc welding using rutile and basic electrodes. The Focus TIG 161 DC HP is equipped with MIGA Super Blue tungsten electrodes. This electrode, characterized by excellent glowing and arc re-ignition properties, is suitable for use with all types of materials.
