GYS PROTIG 200 DC is a professional, single-phase (230V) inverter welder designed for precision DC TIG welding with two types of arc ignition: HF (non-contact) and Lift Arc (contact). In addition, it allows welding using the MMA (Manual Metal Arc) method. The maximum welding current is 200 amperes, which provides greater capabilities compared to the 160/161 models. The kit includes a set of necessary accessories to get started.

Key features of the PROTIG 200 DC welder:

DC TIG welding: High quality welds on carbon steel, stainless steel, copper and its alloys.
Two types of TIG ignition:
HF (High Frequency): Non-contact arc ignition, ideal for precision work and avoiding contamination.
Lift Arc: Occlusion by touching the tungsten electrode to the material to be welded, recommended in environments sensitive to electromagnetic interference.
Gas Post Flow Function: Adjustable gas post flow time protects the weld from oxidation and cools the electrode.
MMA welding: Capable of welding with covered electrodes up to 5 mm in diameter (rutile, basic).
MMA support functions:
Adjustable Hot Start: Facilitates arc ignition.
Adjustable Arclace: Stabilizes the arc and prevents electrode sticking.
Anti-Sticking: Prevents the electrode from sticking to the material being welded.
Compact and lightweight design: Makes it easy to transport and work in various locations.
Intuitive control panel: Simple adjustment of welding parameters.
Memory of 10 programs: Ability to save favorite welding settings.
Compatible with a variety of TIG chucks: Push-button, potentiometer and dual push-button chucks can be connected.

PULSE and SPOT functions: Advanced TIG welding modes, including frequency and pulse width adjustment.
Overvoltage protection: PROTEC 400 – protection up to 400V.
