ArcDrive is a fundamental but advanced MIG/MAG process from Böhler Welding that guarantees an extremely stable and dynamically responsive welding arc. A key benefit is the significant reduction in spatter, which minimizes the need for time-consuming post-weld machining. ArcDrive is ideal for welding carbon steels, stainless steels, aluminum and cored wires, ensuring high quality and aesthetically pleasing welds.

The PulsDrive process is a digitally controlled pulsed MIG/MAG welding mode that implements the “one pulse – one drop” principle. This provides excellent control over the transfer of metal into the weld pool, which is crucial when welding thin materials, aluminum and stainless steels. The result is exceptional weld finish quality, minimal risk of burn-through and deep penetration with reduced heat input. PulsDrive improves welding precision and repeatability.

The Double Pulse function of the TERRA NX PME takes MIG/MAG welding to a higher level of aesthetics and control, especially when welding aluminum and stainless steel. Two levels of pulsation produce TIG-like welds with a distinctive “scale” appearance, while maintaining the high performance of the MIG/MAG method. Dual Pulsation perfectly controls the amount of heat input, minimizing distortion and improving the mechanical properties of the joint.

The Böhler Arc system is a collection of advanced synergy programs that greatly simplify the configuration of welding parameters for a wide range of materials, wire diameters and shielding gases. Once the appropriate program is selected, the device automatically adjusts key parameters, ensuring optimal welding conditions. For the professional, this means faster preparation for work, guaranteed repeatability of high quality welds and reduced errors, even with less experienced operators.

QuickPulse is an innovative optional welding process from Böhler Welding that combines the advantages of deep penetration known from the RapiDeep® process with the precision and quality of PulsDrive pulse welding. The result is a significant increase in welding speed (up to 50% compared to standard pulse), while maintaining deep penetration and low linear heat input (H.I.).
