Fast Puls TIG technology from Böhler Welding, available on the TERRA 180 TLH, allows welding current to be pulsed at a high frequency of up to 2,500 Hz. This results in a maximally focused and stable welding arc, which is crucial when welding thin materials (e.g., stainless steel from 0.5 mm) and in demanding positions.
The use of Fast Puls TIG significantly increases welding speed (by up to 65-90% compared to conventional TIG), reduces material distortion due to less heat input (reduced Heat Affected Zone – HAZ) and ensures excellent weld quality and aesthetics. Ideal for precision applications on stainless steels, carbon steels and other alloys requiring tight control of heat input.

The Spot TIG function of the TERRA 180 TLH allows for extremely precise and repeatable spot welds with the ability to precisely set the duration of the current pulse. This is invaluable for tacking parts before the primary weld or for joining very thin sheet metal where traditional methods could lead to burn-through.
Spot TIG provides perfectly even and clean tack points, minimizes distortion and speeds up the process of preparing the structure for further processing. This guarantees high aesthetics and quality of the initial connections.

Easy Joining technology, integrated into the TERRA 180 TLH welder, was developed by Böhler Welding engineers to simplify the TIG welding process as much as possible for typical applications. The feature automatically optimizes arc parameters for easier and faster joining of materials, which is particularly helpful for less experienced operators or when performing standard production tasks.
