The EXATIG – HF BOX from GYS is a high-frequency (HF) spark generator designed for TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) welding with a wide range of direct current (DC) welders. The unit is optimized for use with the GYS EXAGON 400 CC/CV welder, but can be used with other DC welders (such as GYS PROGYS).

EXATIG – HF BOX enables non-contact (HF) TIG welding arc ignition, shielding gas synchronization, welding chuck management and gas flow control. In simple terms, EXATIG transforms an ordinary MMA power source into a functional TIG HF welder.

The device is extremely easy to use and operates directly from a connected power source, without the need for an additional power cord.

HF Initiating: Non-contact DC TIG arc ignition from any current source.
Compatibility: works with all DC welders (GYS EXAGON, GYS PROGYS and others).
Gas management: Allows you to set the gas flow rate (argon) from 5-25 l/min using the built-in flow meter.
Handle control: 2T/4T (two-tap/four-tap) functions.
Gas Synchronization: Ensures proper gas flow before and after welding (pre- and post-flow times are fixed, but internally modifiable).
Automatic handle detection: Compatible with push-button, potentiometer and dual-button handles.
Optional DC TIG pulse: Reduces heat build-up in the material to be welded (only available with EXAGON 400 CC/CV).
Robust and portable design: sturdy housing and handle for easy transport.
