MEGMET RevoTig 315AC/DC: Professional TIG AC/DC Welding with Full Wave Control. ?✨

The MEGMET RevoTig 315AC/DC is an advanced, all-digital inverter TIG welding source designed for professionals who demand the utmost precision and versatility. Based on IGBT technology, the device is capable of AC and DC welding, making it ideal for working with a wide range of materials, including carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum alloys, magnesium, titanium and copper.

With advanced features such as full AC waveform control (rectangular, sinusoidal, triangular, trapezoidal), AC current balance and frequency control, and advanced pulse for both AC and DC (up to 3000Hz for DC), the RevoTig 315AC/DC welder provides excellent weld quality, minimal distortion and precise fusion. The unit also offers a stable arc as low as 3A, which is crucial when welding very thin materials.

The RevoTig 315AC/DC comes standard with a USB connection for software updates, guaranteeing access to the latest technologies and synergy curves being developed by Megmeet’s R&D centers. Readiness for integration with the SMARC IoT system allows digital management of the welding process and parameter monitoring. This kit, which includes the current source, ground cable and handle connector, provides a complete solution for the most demanding TIG welding tasks. ??️

Explore the Advanced Capabilities of the RevoTig 315AC/DC

? Advanced AC Wave Shape and Balance Control.

The MEGMET RevoTig 315AC/DC offers the welder full control over the characteristics of the AC arc. The ability to choose from four waveforms – rectangular (for fast welding and deep penetration), sinusoidal (for soft arc and quiet operation), triangular (for reduced heat input in thin materials) and trapezoidal (optimal compromise) – allows the process to be tailored to the specific material and joint.

In addition, the precise adjustment of AC balance (the ratio of negative EN to positive EP half-wave duration) over a wide range enables optimization of the cleaning effect (removal of oxides from the aluminum surface) while maintaining adequate penetration. The ability to independently adjust the current values for the EN and EP half-waves (Bias Current) gives even greater control over the energy introduced into the pond and the width of the cleaning zone, which is crucial for achieving high-quality welds on aluminum alloys.

⚡ Precision High Frequency AC/DC Pulse.

The RevoTig 315AC/DC features an advanced pulse welding function for both DC and AC current. In DC TIG pulse mode, the pulse frequency is adjustable in an impressive range from 0.1 Hz all the way up to 3,000 Hz. Low frequencies (0.1-10 Hz) facilitate positional welding and pond control, while high frequencies (10-3000 Hz) concentrate the arc, reduce linear energy and allow faster welding of thin sheets with minimal distortion, creating an aesthetically pleasing arc.

In AC TIG pulse mode, the frequency is adjustable from 20-300 Hz. AC pulsed current is particularly advantageous for welding thin aluminum parts, where precise heat control is critical. Adjusting the peak current, base current and pulse fill factor (1-99%) allows precise management of the melting and solidification of the weld pool, resulting in better weld quality and less risk of burn-through.

?️ Arc Stabilization at Extremely Low Currents and TIG Spot Welding.

The MEGMET RevoTig 315AC/DC is distinguished by its ability to stably ignite and maintain a welding arc as low as 3A in DC TIG mode. This unique feature, achieved thanks to an advanced inverter control system, is extremely important for precision welding of very thin materials, such as 0.3 mm thick sheet metal, where minimal heat introduction is crucial.

The device also offers a high-stability TIG spot welding function. Spot welding time is adjustable from 0.1 to 30 seconds in 0.1 second increments. This ensures the repeatability and high quality of spot welds needed in many assembly and manufacturing applications where precision and aesthetics are required.

? AC-DC Mixed Pulse function for Process Optimization

The RevoTig 315AC/DC offers an advanced AC-DC mixed-pulse TIG welding function. In this mode, direct current (DC) is introduced into the alternating current (AC) waveform, further increasing the energy introduced into the base material and achieving a deeper fusion. This is particularly beneficial when welding thicker aluminum parts.

When welding with mixed AC-DC pulse, the wear of the tungsten electrode in the DCEN (negative electrode) phase is reduced. In addition, the EP (positive electrode) ratio can be adjusted in the AC section to improve the cleaning effect. The arc is characterized by good stiffness and concentration, and the high heat input contributes to increased welding efficiency.
