Hot Start is an automatic, momentary increase in welding current when the arc is struck. Arc Force (arc dynamics) dynamically adjusts the welding current according to the arc length. When the arc shortens (the risk of sticking electrodes), the current is temporarily increased, preventing dimming and making it easier to maintain a stable process. Conversely, when the arc is too long, the current is reduced, minimizing spatter. Anti-Stick is a safety feature that, if the electrode sticks to the weld material, immediately reduces the current to a minimum. This allows the electrode to be easily detached without damage or overheating.
