The GYS NOMADFEED 425-4 AIR is a portable, external case-type wire feeder designed for MIG/MAG and Open-Arc welding in field conditions. It features a highly durable, flame-resistant polypropylene housing that resists drops, grinding splatter and chemical corrosion. The electronics are protected against surges up to 400 V, dust and moisture (IP23). Equipped with a powerful 100 W motor and 4 feeding rollers, it is ideal for solid wires from 0.6 to 1.6 mm in diameter and cored wires up to 2.4 mm, on 200 mm (5 kg) and 300 mm (15 kg) spools. The feeder draws power directly from the welding circuit (DC or DC-voltage sources, including MMA, MIG, TIG and generator welders) with voltages from 17 to 113 V DC and 30 to 80 V AC. It has a duty cycle of 425 A at 60% and 300 A at 100%. “Soft Start” technology facilitates a gentle start to welding. Easy-to-read displays indicate voltage, current and wire feed speed. Compatible with most DC and CV generators on the market, especially recommended for use with the EXAGON 400 DC/HV generator (ref. 010925).
