PROGYS 200A PFC is a professional, single-phase inverter MMA (Manual Metal Arc) and TIG Lift Arc welder, equipped with PFC (Power Factor Correction) function. The PFC function optimizes power consumption, making the device more energy-efficient and allowing it to work with longer extension cords and lower-powered generators. The welder is powered by 230V and protected by a 16A fuse. It offers adjustable welding current in the range of 10 to 200 amps, allowing welding of a variety of materials with electrodes from 1.6 to 5 mm in diameter (MMA) and precision DC TIG welding with friction ignition (additional TIG holder with gas valve required).
The PROGYS 200A PFC features advanced inverter technology with digital control for excellent welding performance and a stable arc in both MMA and TIG modes.
The welder is equipped with a number of advanced features to facilitate MMA welding:
Adjustable Hot Start: Facilitates arc ignition, with the ability to precisely adjust to the type of electrode and material being welded.
Adjustable Arclace: Allows optimization of arc dynamics, providing better penetration and preventing electrode sticking.
Anti-Sticking: Automatically reduces welding current in the event of electrode sticking, making it easier to detach the electrode.
Pulsed MMA: Enables welding with pulsed current, which is particularly useful for welding thin materials and in forced positions, improving control over the weld pool and reducing the risk of burn-through.
In TIG Lift Arc mode, the PROGYS 200A PFC offers precision welding of carbon steel, stainless steel and other non-ferrous metals. The arc is engaged by gently rubbing the electrode against the material to be welded, minimizing the risk of contaminating the weld. The welder also features Gas Post Flow, which allows the shielding gas to flow out after welding, protecting the weld from oxidation and cooling the electrode.
PROGYS 200A PFC has an easy-to-read digital control panel, allowing precise adjustment of all welding parameters. It is protected against surges up to 400V (PROTEC 400).
The kit usually includes a ground wire with clamp and an electrode holder for MMA welding. The TIG holder and other TIG welding accessories are usually available separately. The compact design and relatively light weight make the PROGYS 200A PFC a mobile and versatile unit for professional welding applications, especially where energy efficiency and stable operation under fluctuating power conditions are important.
