Description
EXPERT TIG 220 AC/DC is a professional inverter welder for TIG welding of all metals including aluminum and stainless steel. The device allows TIG and TIG PULSE welding with alternating current (AC), direct current (DC) and MMA methods
EXPERT TIG 220 AC/DC PULSE LCD is a portable power source, made with IGBT technology, designed for TIG and TIG PULS welding with alternating current(AC), direct current(DC), and MMA welding with direct current (DC). The small size and weight make the device ideal for both workshop and field work.
The device has welding modes: TIG DC, TIG DC PULS, TIG AC, TIG AC PULS, TIG POINT, TIG 2-LEVEL, MMA AC, MMA DC MMA PULS.
The TIG DC and TIG DC PULS function is used for welding stainless steel, carbon and low-alloy steels, copper and titanium.
TIG AC and TIG AC PULS function: allows welding of aluminum and its alloys and brass.
TIG POINT function: allows you to tack thin materials.
TIG 2-LEVEL function: the “2-level” current control allows switching between higher and lower current levels by successive button presses on the welding handle.
By adjusting the parameters of TIG PULS pulse welding, we can influence the shape of the weld and the focus of the arc. Pulsed welding also reduces the amount of heat delivered to the material and is applicable when welding thin materials.
The arc is engaged in either non-contact(HF) or contact(LIFT) mode. The LIFT function is used when welding in environments with a high risk of being affected by electromagnetic interference to the environment.
With both HF non-contact ignition and LIFT touch ignition, we have the option to choose the function of the button on the TIG handle between 2-takt or 4-takt operation (button lock for long welds).
The easy-to-read and easy-to-use control panel allows accurate adjustment of the device, ensures stable parameters and high quality welding.
The device has 9 user program record locations for welding programs.
LCD display makes it easy to adjust the parameters of the welder:
- initial outflow of shielding gas
- inception current
- current rise time
- welding current
- base current
- current drop time
- residual current
- end discharge of shielding gas
- pulse width
- pulse rate
- AC balance
- AC frequency
- HOT START value
ARC FORCE value
From the control panel we can select the AC voltage curve :
- TIG AC – triangular voltage waveform
- TIG AC – rectangular voltage waveform
- TIG AC – sinusoidal voltage waveform
With the MMA method, we have the possibility of pulse welding , and adjust its following parameters:
- base current control
- pulse rate control
- pulse width adjustment
The welder also has features to facilitate the process of MMA welding with covered electrode:
ARC FORCE: short-circuit current control (manual) – facilitates the transfer of molten electrode droplets to the material being welded, preventing the arc from being extinguished when the electrode droplet comes into contact with the welding pool
HOT START: hot start control (manual) – facilitates electrode ignition by providing more welding current each time the arc is struck.
ANTI STICK: anti-short-circuit – automatically shuts off the welding voltage if the electrode sticks to the material being welded, which makes it easier to peel off and prevents accidental welding arc.
Physical parameters
The device has a fan-cooling system which dramatically increases its performance.
A fan-cooling system – activated only when needed – reduces contamination inside the unit.
The quick-connect gas connection to the welding gun allows the welding gun to be connected and disconnected instantly without tools.
The device is equipped with overload protection, which increases its reliability.
Power supply parameters
Single-phase power supply 230V. The device is equipped with a power plug.
Equipment
Delivery includes the device with a set of TIG and MMA accessories: welding chuck TIG 26 with remote control with a length of 4 meters, MMA electrode cable with a length of 3m, ground cable with a length of 3m.
Warranty terms and conditions
Warranty 12 months for professional use. Warranty service is provided door-to-door without transportation costs on the user’s side.
