Expert TIG 220 AC/DC Pulse LCD is a portable inverter welder built on IGBT technology for TIG and TIG PULSE welding with alternating (AC) and direct (DC) current, and for MMA with coated electrodes on direct current (DC). It welds all metals, including aluminium and stainless steel. It is small and light, so it suits the workshop and site work. Single-phase 230 V supply, with plug.

Features
Welding modes
You have TIG DC, TIG DC PULSE, TIG AC, TIG AC PULSE, TIG SPOT, TIG 2-LEVEL, MMA AC, MMA DC and MMA PULSE modes. TIG DC and TIG DC PULSE weld stainless steel, carbon and low-alloy steels, copper and titanium. TIG AC and TIG AC PULSE weld aluminium, its alloys and brass. TIG SPOT is for tacking thin materials.
TIG PULSE and 2-LEVEL
With the pulse parameters you influence the weld shape and how focused the arc is. Pulse reduces the heat that goes into the material, which helps with thin parts. In TIG 2-LEVEL mode, each press of the torch button switches between a higher and a lower current level.
Arc ignition and torch button
You strike the arc without contact (HF) or by touch (LIFT). LIFT is used where electromagnetic interference can affect the surroundings. With both methods you choose how the torch button works: 2T or 4T (button latch for long welds).
Panel and LCD display
On the LCD display you set pre-gas, start current, current up-slope time, welding current, base current, current down-slope time, end current, post-gas, pulse width and frequency, AC balance and frequency, and HOT START and ARC FORCE values. You select the AC voltage waveform on the panel: triangular, square or sine. You have 9 slots for your own welding programmes.
MMA functions
In MMA you can also weld with pulse, with adjustable base current, pulse frequency and pulse width. ARC FORCE (manual short-circuit current adjustment) helps droplets transfer from the electrode to the weld pool and stops the arc going out when a droplet touches it. HOT START (manual hot start adjustment) gives a higher current at each strike, so the electrode ignites more easily. ANTI STICK cuts the welding voltage when the electrode sticks to the material, so it is easier to pull free and no accidental arc forms.
Cooling and protection
The fan switches on only when needed, so less dirt gets inside. Quick gas coupling: you connect and disconnect the torch without tools. The machine has overload protection.
