Migatronic Pi welding equipment combines proven inverter technology with new control and communication options. These features optimize welding parameters and make the most advanced functions child’s play.

NEW PULSE SOUND WITH SYNERGY PLUS™ FUNCTION In addition to traditional pulse and high-speed pulse in DC TIG technology, Pi machines are equipped with a Migatronic invention called Synergy PLUS™, a special pulse function that allows automatic and dynamic setting of all main pulse parameters during synergy welding.
Thus, with the Synergy PLUS™ function, the traditional pulse welding sound has been replaced by a pure metallic sound.

WELDING UP TO 200 A WITH A SMALL 16 A FUSE Both single-phase versions of the Pi 200 TIG welders feature PFC (Power Factor Correction), an electronic circuit that allows welding up to 200 A with a small 16 A fuse.

UP TO 4 X 64 PROGRAM SETTINGS All Pi 350-500 TIG welders
allow you to enter 64 program settings for each welding technique: TIG DC, TIG AC, MMA DC and MMA AC, so the welder can quickly and safely recall
customized settings, which is very helpful for repetitive tasks. The Pi 200 – 250 TIG welders allow 10 program settings for each welding technique

TIG LIFTIG® IN THE STANDARD EQUIPMENT OF ALL SPAWARDS All Pi TIG and MMA machines come standard with the TIG LIFTIG® function (HF-free – high-frequency ignition) for TIG welding in voltage-sensitive environments.

WELDING MODES IN THE SUBMENU The user-friendly panels of the Pi welders offer many shortcuts to make welding much easier. The submenus contain a variety of different options for making custom settings for the welding process.

TIG-A-TACK™ – THE PINNACLE OF TACK WELDING

TIG-A-Tack™ (standard) is Migatronic’s newly developed feature for making extremely small and precise tack welds quickly. It makes it possible to reduce the risk of distortion and material damage.

REDUCTION OF FAN NOISE AND ENERGY CONSUMPTION

Migatronic Pi was developed with respect for both the environment and the working environment. The infinitely adjustable fan operates with precision and adjusts automatically to the current load/cooling degree required of the machine. The result is reduced fan noise, lower energy consumption and dust absorption, as well as longer welder life.

AC WELDING: ONE BUTTON – FOUR PARAMETERS
The art of simplification: the PI AC/DC versions allow the welder to adjust four main AC parameters with just one button:

1 Balanced time – overall control of the cleaning effect

2 Frequency of alternating current – control of the arc and lake
3 Preheating of the electrode- perfect ignition and reduction of electrode wear – device prepared to work with new types of gases
4 Balance of current – thanks to it, the tip of the tungsten electrode behaves as in the case of direct current – we get the correct focus of the arc

D.O.C® – Faster Alternating Current Welding All Pi AC welders feature D.O.C.® (Dynamic Oxide Control), a Migatronic patent that ensures that a controlled, narrow cleaning zone is maintained. The result is an increase in welding speed of up to 30%, and a corresponding reduction in both energy and tungsten electrode consumption.

AC SYNCHRONOUS WELDING

Pi 350/500 welders can be used for AC synchronous welding using a synchronization kit; this is an efficient method of welding with two arcs in a welding pool. Used for butt welding of large aluminum structures with wall thicknesses of more than about 3 mm, it makes it possible to obtain metallurgically clean welds

INTELLIGENT GAS CONTROL
Intelligent Gas Control IGC® is a configurable option on the Pi 350 and Pi 500 for TIG welding. An efficient gas saver kit combined with dynamic gas control that monitors gas consumption and optimizes gas shielding in both DC and AC welding. In many cases, the IGC function can provide more than 50% less gas consumption, and proportionally fewer gas cylinder changes, to the benefit of company finances, the environment and productivity.

LEVEL WELDING, LEVEL PERFORMANCE
At the beginning of the welding process, Migatronic IGC® prevents excessive gas consumption and ensures good initial results.
IGC® takes over after the formation of the weld pool and provides significant savings thanks to controlled gas consumption that always remains optimal for current needs.

IGC® OFFERS MORE BENEFITS FOR INDUSTRIAL EQUIPMENT

Synergistic final gas discharge, a special feature used together with IGC, is designed for large Pi welders (350 and 500). Synergistic final gas discharge automatically adjusts the required final gas discharge time, so that oxides on the tungsten electrode and in the welds do not occur during final welds.

“GAS MONITORING” – A FOLLOWING FUNCTION IN THE IGC® IGC® framework additionally acts as an efficient “gas monitor” that automatically stops the process if
insufficient shielding occurs.
