What this machine is for
Plasma cuts every metal that conducts current, and the Zeta runs on compressed air alone, so you connect it to the workshop line and you buy no separate gases. The handling is simple: you set the process and the current to the sheet thickness and you cut. Up to 25 mm you get an edge of a quality fit for further machining, and where only the parting of the material counts, the thickness rises by up to 50%.
The machine also handles perforated sheet, and you switch that function on with one button. The second task is light gouging, that is the removal of defects from the weld after welding. The power source works from a generator as well, and standby lowers the power draw between cuts.

What to watch out for
For work you need a compressed air line with a filter and a dryer, because moisture and oil shorten the life of the nozzle and the electrode and spoil the cut edge. The shop catalogue data give a cutting current up to 100 A and gas cooling, but they do not give the supply, so check the rating plate and the circuit fuse.
The plasma lead in the set is 6 m long, and the version with a 15 m hose gives more reach at the cost of weight in the hand. Nozzles and electrodes are wear parts, so confirm that they are available.
