The device allows welding with methods:

TIG DC LIFT ARC method symbolTIG DC lift-arc – In the TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) method, an electric arc is struck in a shield of inert gas (argon) between the workpiece and an infusible electrode made of pure tungsten or tungsten with additives. In TIG lift-arc mode, the arc is struck when the electrode comes into contact with the workpiece. In DC TIG mode, the current is constant.

TIG DC HF method symbolTIG DC HF – In order to completely eliminate the possibility of contamination of the weld with tungsten, it is recommended that the electrode does not touch the workpiece being welded; for this very purpose, non-contact arc ignition is used using high-frequency discharges generated by the built-in ionizer.

icon TIG DC pulse lift arc weldingTIG DC PULS lift-arc – arc ignition is performed by contacting the electrode with the material to be welded, the pulse function allows welding thin parts by periodically changing the current.

icon TIG DC pulse HF weldingTIG DC PULS HF – non-contact HF ignition using an ionizer in TIG DC PULS mode.

TIG AC LIFT ARC method symbolTIG AC lift-arc – a function that allows the welding of aluminum through the use of alternating current, which has the function of cathodic cleaning when welding aluminum. With the ability to set the AC BALANCE parameter, the AC current balance, it is possible to adjust the ratio of the duration of its phases in relation to each other.

TIG AC HF method symbolTIG AC HF – analogous function that allows welding of aluminum with alternating current, the ignition occurs non-contact through high-frequency current generated by the ionizer

icon TIG AC pulse lift arc weldingTIG AC PULS lift-arc – welding in this mode is a combination of AC and pulse application, which allows welding of very thin aluminum parts. The arc is engaged by contact between the electrode and the material to be welded.

TIG AC PULSE HF method symbolTIG AC PULS HF – a function that allows you to weld parts made of aluminum with a small thickness. Non-contact ignition thanks to the use of an ionizer.

TIG ACDC method symbolTIG AC + DC – ADVANCED AC function allows welding with mixed AC DC- current. In a single cycle, there is a transition between AC current and DC current with negative polarity DC(-). This cycle repeats throughout the welding process. Mixed current welding, is particularly useful when joining parts of different thicknesses. It also reduces, noise emissions compared to AC welding.

TIG Cold Welding method symbol

TIG COLD WELDING (STITCH)-the function generates a high-powered welding arc discharge in a very short time (even up to 0.001s). This makes it possible to join welded parts without the addition of filler metal, including dissimilar materials. By holding down the button on the welding handle, it is possible to carry out continuous welding with a series of welds. The user can set the welding duration and current intensity. The COLD WELDING function is particularly useful when joining parts less than 1mm thick, surfacing edges and wherever it is important to heat the welded parts as little as possible.

TIG Spot method symbol

TIG SPOT – TIG SPOT welding is used for overlapping (tacking) of thin sheets (up to 1.5 mm, when drilled up to 5 mm – hole-point joint) of steels, alloy steels, as well as for joining sheets before butt welding. The method is based on the introduction of a short heat pulse (0.1-4 s), during which the surface of the sheet metal affected by the electric arc is superheated and welded to the sheet metal directly below it.

MMA method symbol DC+MMA DC+ – The MMA method uses a covered electrode, consisting of a metal core covered with a lagging. An electric arc is produced between the end of the electrode and the material to be welded. The arc is ignited by touching the end of the electrode to the material to be welded. MMA DC+ means welding with positive polarity – more heat is released in the material and less in the electrode.

MMA method symbol DC-MMA DC- – the difference with MMA DC+ is that the polarity in the MMA DC- mode is negative, so the heat distribution is reversed – more heat is released on the electrode and less in the welded material.

MMA VRD DC+ method symbolMMA VRD DC+ – available in MMA DC+ mode, the VRD function ( Voltage Reduction Device – a module that reduces the rest (idle) voltage of the secondary circuit of the device. Increases safety and reduces the risk of electric shock. The function turns the welding power off and on when the resistance between the electrode tips and the workpiece is measured during welding.

MMA VRD DC- method symbol.MMA VRD DC- – available in MMA DC- mode, the VRD ( Voltage Reduction Device) function works in an analogous way to MMA VRD DC+, the difference is the negative polarity.

PANEL FUNCTIONS:

Ability to use user-programmed factory settings for welding aluminum and steel (60 memory channels)

– Selectable waveform:

advanced square waveform symbolADVANCED SQUARE – rectangular AC waveform allows welding of aluminum with magnesium addition

soft square waveform symbolSOFT SQUARE – trapezoidal AC waveform is used for welding aluminum with silicon additives

triangular waveform symbolTRIANGULAR – the triangular current waveform setting is optimal for welding thin parts, including anodized aluminum

sine wave shape symbolSINE – sinusoidal waveform is recommended for welding 99.999% pure aluminum

AC/DC EASY SETUP – possibility to use pre-programmed factory settings.

NORMAL SETUP – welding parameters set according to individual needs.

SPOT – TIG SPOT welding is used for overlapping (tacking) of thin sheets (up to 1.5 mm, with drilling up to 5 mm – hole-point joint) of steel, alloy steels, as well as for joining sheets before butt welding. The method is based on the introduction of a short heat pulse (0.1-4 s), during which the surface of the sheet metal affected by the electric arc is superheated and welded to the sheet metal directly below it.

PULS TAC – allows an efficient way of joining thin metal sheets, with a small amount of heat introduced, which significantly reduces the deformation of the material. The high frequency of the pulsating current allows a very fast formation of a pool, resulting in the immediate formation of a weld, a tack. In this mode, it is possible to pre-join the welded parts with a series of short welds, allowing the welded parts to be pre-positioned against each other.

ROTHING THE ELECTRODES – allows you to briefly engage the arc, in order to melt the tip of the sharpened electrode and form a rounding at the top of the electrode. The rounded tip of the electrode prevents stray welding arc, which can be caused by inadequate preparation of the non-melting electrode. An additional advantage of using rounded electrode tip is the greater depth of fusion.

HOT START – A function that increases the current when the welding arc is struck, making it easier to start welding.

ARC FORCE – short circuit current control – makes the shortening of the arc length accompanied by an increase in welding current, which stabilizes the arc regardless of fluctuations in length.

HF – the device is equipped with an ionizer, which allows a non-contact look into the welding arc.

PRE and POST GAS – gas outflow before and after welding.

UP and DOWN SLOPE – rising and falling welding current.

PULSE – pulse current welding mode.

VRD – Voltage Reduction Device – reduces the idle voltage of the secondary circuit of the device. Increases safety and reduces the risk of electric shock.

PFC – Power Factor Correction – increasing the power factor to as close to 100% as possible to reduce power losses in transmission lines.

– 2-TAKT and 4-TAKT,
– contactless HF and by rubbing LIFT ignition,
– possibility of connecting remote control – control pedal, handle with potentiometer,
– dual-function ADJUST knob (coarse and fine adjustment),
– and others, described in the manual.
