Description

The SNAKE 405 LED by MAGNUM is a lightweight, portable power source made with inverter technology. The device is powered by a three-phase 400V mains, has a maximum welding current of 400A and a high 60% efficiency. SNAKE 405 is equipped with an easy-to-read multifunctional LED display with an intuitive, easy-to-use control panel.

The Snake 405 LED device is based on the latest, technology, using IGBT transistors. Thanks to its special design, Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor (IGBT) power transistors offer a stronger, more concentrated and more stable arc while consuming less power.

The device has the following functions:
– HOT START – “hot start”. HOT START function consists in momentarily increasing the welding current above the set value at the moment of arc ignition.
This prevents the phenomenon of “sticking electrode” in the initial phase of welding, making it easier to start the whole process.
– ARC FORCE – “arc dynamics.” – Shortening the arc length is accompanied by an increase in welding current, which results in stabilization of the arc, regardless of its length. Decreasing the value of the function gives a soft arc and less depth of fusion, while increasing the value of the function results in deeper fusion and the possibility of short arc welding.
– ANTI STICK – protects the device and makes it easier to detach the electrode if it sticks to the material being welded.
– VRD (Voltage Reduction Device) – it shuts down the power supply within milliseconds after welding is completed and reduces the voltage on the covered electrode to a safe level.
