Used TIG welding machines

TIG welders for mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium. We check HF ignition, the gas valve, how smoothly the current adjusts, the pulse functions and, on AC/DC machines, the balance and the AC frequency. The listing gives you the current range, duty cycle, power supply, torch type and the full equipment list. Every unit is checked in our own service centre to current standards, with the first year of the basic service package in the price. Unretouched photos, taken of the machine we ship.

Used TIG welders: how to choose

The first decision with TIG is DC or AC/DC. DC is enough for mild steel, stainless steel, copper and titanium. Aluminium and magnesium need alternating current, so if aluminium is in your plans, take AC/DC. Adding that function later means replacing the machine.

Match the current to the thickness: 160 A is enough for sheet up to 4 mm, 200 A up to about 6 mm, 300 A and more for thicker joints and continuous work. With TIG the minimum current matters just as much. A good machine goes down to 5 A or lower, which lets you weld 0.8 mm sheet without burning through.

Look at the ignition. HF is convenient, but in a workshop full of electronics it can cause interference. Lift arc ignition by contact is quieter, though less precise on thin stainless steel.

Pulse helps on thin sheet and when welding out of position. On AC/DC machines check the AC frequency range, usually 20 to 250 Hz, and the balance, usually 20 to 80 percent. A higher frequency narrows the arc, a larger negative portion gives deeper penetration.

For work above 200 A on long welds a water-cooled torch is worth having. Check in the listing whether the cooler is included or has to be bought separately. We always state that openly, along with information on the foot pedal and the cables.

Does a used welder come with a warranty?
We do not give a commercial warranty on used machines. The price includes the first year of the basic service package, that is an inspection: cleaning of the machine and a validation measurement. Further years can be added, and repairs then cost less.
How do you check the machines?
Every unit goes through a load test and measurements to current standards in our service workshop in Krotoszyn. You receive the inspection report with the extended service package.
Can I see the machine before buying?
Yes. Book a viewing in Krotoszyn and we will show you the machine under load.
How much does shipping cost?
In Poland the DPD courier costs EUR 6.98 net for each started parcel up to 25 kg, and machines travel on a pallet for EUR 69.77 net. Goods in stock ship within 2 working days, machines within 2 to 3 working days. We also ship to the whole European Union.
VAT invoice, intra-EU supply, currency?
We issue a VAT invoice. Companies from the EU with an active EU VAT number buy at 0 percent VAT. Prices in the English version are in euro, converted at a fixed rate of 4.30 zloty per euro.
