Technology in detail

Adaptive Shade Autopilot: smart protection in real time

Adaptive Shade Autopilot is an advanced system that adjusts the filter shade fully automatically and smoothly across a range from 5 to 13. A dedicated sensor continuously analyses the intensity of the welding arc and adapts the protection level in real time, without any action on your part. You no longer need to make manual corrections when you change the process, the welding current or the welding position, and the shade is always optimal. Investing in Autopilot means full concentration on the weld and complete confidence in your protection when conditions keep changing.

Highest optical class 1/1/1/1 and True Colour technology

The filter of the e684 helmet has the highest possible optical rating, 1/1/1/1, according to EN379. This means perfect image quality, no distortion, perfectly even shading across the whole filter area and excellent visibility from every angle. Combined with True Colour technology, which gives realistic colour perception, you get a crystal-clear, true-to-life image of the weld pool and its surroundings. This is the key to precise process control, less eye strain and higher quality work.

Twilight function (FadeTronic): protection and comfort for your eyes

Standard filters switch from dark to light instantly, which can cause eye fatigue and discomfort, especially when tack welding. The patented Twilight (FadeTronic) technology solves this problem: the filter brightens smoothly and gradually after the arc goes out. You can adjust the duration of this transition so that your eyes adapt gently to the change in light. This function significantly reduces eye strain during long periods of work. It is a direct investment in eye health and comfort, and it means less fatigue at the end of a full working day.

Full control and grinding mode

The e684 helmet gives you full control over the working parameters. In addition to the automatic mode, there is a manual mode with shade adjustment in the ranges 5-9 and 9-13. The unique "Sensor Slide" lets you physically change the detection angle of the sensors, which prevents accidental brightening when you work in confined spaces or near other welders. A dedicated, easy-to-reach external button activates grinding mode (level 4.0), which locks the filter and keeps you fully protected during finishing work.

Certified TH3 respiratory protection

The e3000X powered air system provides the highest possible level of respiratory protection in line with the strict EN 12941 standard (class TH3). This means the system filters as much as 99.8% of harmful solid and liquid particles, including carcinogenic welding fumes, aerosols and dust. Constant positive pressure builds up inside the helmet and isolates you from the contaminated environment. It is a fundamental investment in your own health that lets you work safely and comfortably for many years.

Three-stage airflow adjustment with a cooling effect

The e3000X system was designed for work in varied conditions. It offers three airflow levels (170, 210 and 240 l/min), which you can match to the intensity of the work and the ambient temperature. The highest level, 240 l/min, not only supplies the maximum amount of clean air but also produces a noticeable cooling effect on your face and forehead. This is an invaluable advantage when welding in high temperatures or during long, exhausting jobs.

High-capacity battery for two work shifts

At the heart of the e3000X system is a powerful lithium-ion battery optimised for maximum energy efficiency. It provides an operating time of up to 18 hours on a single charge (at the lowest airflow level). That lets you work comfortably through two full 8-hour shifts without breaks for charging or changing the battery. It means uninterrupted work and maximum productivity all day long.
