Optrel Helix Quattro welding helmet with the e3000X powered air system

The Optrel Helix Quattro PAPR is a welding helmet for the e3000X powered air system. You get the helmet only, without the blower unit: you buy the e3000X blower with battery and filter separately or as a complete set with the e3000X. The TH3 protection class, air flow and battery run time described below apply when you use it with the e3000X.

Technology in detail

Ergonomic slide-up design

The unique slide-up mechanism is at the core of the Helix series. It lets you raise the auto-darkening filter module smoothly and with little effort, revealing a large panoramic protective visor. You can switch instantly between welding and grinding, material preparation or weld inspection without taking the whole helmet off. You keep an uninterrupted field of view and full face protection at every stage of the job, which noticeably improves ergonomics and efficiency. This functionality is an investment in a smoother workflow and fewer unnecessary movements.

Top optical class 1/1/1/1

The filter in the Helix Quattro has the highest possible optical rating, 1/1/1/1, according to EN379. It means a crystal-clear image without distortion (the first "1"), no light diffusion (the second "1") and perfectly uniform shading over the entire filter area (the third "1"). The last digit ("1") is the key one: it guarantees a constant level of protection regardless of the viewing angle. This is essential when welding out of position, where conventional filters can fall short. Investing in class 1/1/1/1 guarantees uncompromising eye protection and perfect visibility in typical workshop conditions.

ShadeTronic® autopilot with a 5-14 protection range

ShadeTronic® technology works like an intelligent autopilot for your eyes. An advanced sensor system continuously analyses the intensity of the welding arc and automatically selects the ideal shade across a broad span from 5 to 14. There is no need for manual adjustment, which is particularly valuable when welding parameters change, for example in MIG/MAG welding. You can focus fully on the quality of the weld, knowing that your eyes are always optimally protected. It is an investment in comfort, precision and in removing the risk of arc flash caused by the wrong shade.

FadeTronic® smooth brightening technology

Standard filters switch from dark to light instantly, which can tire your eyes when you stop welding often, for example when tacking. FadeTronic® technology changes this by brightening the filter smoothly and gradually after the arc goes out. This patented "twilight function" lets your eyes adapt gently to the change in light, noticeably reducing fatigue and improving working comfort. It is a key investment in eye protection during long, repetitive welding tasks.

Certified TH3 respiratory protection

The e3000X powered air system provides the highest possible level of respiratory protection and meets the European standard EN 12941 for class TH3. This means its high-efficiency particle filter captures as much as 99.8% of the harmful dust, fumes and aerosols generated during welding. A zone of constant positive pressure is created inside the helmet, which keeps contaminated ambient air out and supplies the welder with nothing but clean air to breathe. It is a fundamental investment in your own health and your long-term ability to work in the trade.

Three-stage airflow control with a cooling effect

The e3000X system is designed for work in varied and demanding conditions. You have three-stage airflow control at 170, 210 and 240 litres per minute. This lets you match the system output precisely to the intensity of the work and the ambient temperature. The highest airflow level (240 l/min) not only guarantees the maximum supply of clean air but also provides a noticeable cooling effect on your face and forehead. It is an investment in thermal comfort that translates directly into less fatigue and higher productivity.

Outstanding battery performance for up to 18 hours of operation

At the heart of the e3000X system is a highly efficient lithium-ion battery that can run continuously for up to 18 hours at the lowest airflow level. You can work comfortably through two full shifts without charging or swapping batteries. There are no interruptions and no spare batteries to manage, so you stay fully independent and mobile all day long. It is an investment in continuous, efficient work that pays for itself every day.
