A protective barrier for the heart of the filter system
The spark protector is the first and most critical line of defence for the entire filter pack of the swiss air system. Made of a special flame-retardant material, it acts as a physical shield that catches and extinguishes hot sparks and larger weld spatter before they reach the pre-filter and the main TH3 particle filter. This prevents microscopic burn holes in the filter medium, which could permanently damage its structure and reduce filtration efficiency. Without this protection the filters would be exposed directly to high temperatures, leading to rapid wear and frequent, costly replacement. It is a basic investment in keeping the system at full performance and running it economically, especially during intensive welding work.
