Technology details

Top optical class 1/1/1/1

The helix quattro filter achieves a perfect 1/1/1/1 rating to EN379, the top of what welding optics can offer. That means a crystal-clear, undistorted image (optical class 1), no light scattering (diffusion class 1), even shading across the whole filter surface (homogeneity class 1) and excellent visibility at any angle (angle dependence class 1). For the welder, this means less eye strain and the ability to judge the weld pool precisely throughout the working day. This optical quality translates directly into better and more repeatable welds.

ShadeTronic® technology (Autopilot)

ShadeTronic® is an intelligent system that fully automates shade selection. An advanced algorithm, fed with data from five sensors, analyses the arc intensity in real time and adjusts the protection level automatically between DIN 4 and 13. You no longer need to adjust the shade by hand, which is a real advantage when you often change welding current or process. The system also offers a ±2 calibration so you can match it precisely to your own preference. Your eyes are always protected with the optimal shade, which helps concentration and productivity.

FadeTronic® technology

FadeTronic® is a patented technology that changes how the filter returns to the light state after welding. Instead of an abrupt switch from dark to light, the filter brightens smoothly and gradually over an adjustable time from 0.1 to 2.0 seconds. This lets your eyes adapt comfortably to the change in light and noticeably reduces eye fatigue and strain, especially during long jobs and tack welding. It is a sound investment in working comfort and long-term eye health over a welding career.

Multi-Sensor-Detection system

The filter has an advanced detection system made up of five independent sensors placed strategically across its surface. This layout detects the arc reliably even in the most demanding positions, when welding in tight spaces or when some sensors are briefly covered. The system prevents the filter from opening accidentally during work and gives you uninterrupted protection against harmful radiation. It is a fundamental feature for maximum safety, whatever the conditions at the workstation.
