This technology, also known as Autopilot, is the intelligent core of the e684 ADF cassette. The system continuously measures the intensity of the welding arc and selects the optimal shade in real time, fully automatically, in the range from 5 to 13. This removes the need for manual adjustment, which is inefficient when welding conditions change, for example when moving from tacking to fill passes. The welder can focus fully on the precision of the weld, knowing that the eyes are protected in typical workshop conditions. The e684 cassette this shell is designed for meets the highest optical classification to EN379. The 1/1/1/1 rating guarantees perfect image quality in four key categories: optical clarity (no distortion), light scattering (no haze), shade homogeneity (even tint across the whole filter surface) and angle dependence (clear view even at a steep angle). Standard welding filters give the image an unnatural green or amber tint, which makes it hard to judge the colours of materials and surroundings. This makes details easier to distinguish, gives more precise control over the process and reduces eye fatigue during long hours of work. This shell is coated with a special silver paint with high reflectance of radiant heat. When welding with processes that generate a lot of heat, such as high-current MIG/MAG, the coating actively reflects a large share of the heat energy before it can warm up the helmet material. As a result, the temperature inside the helmet stays noticeably lower, which directly improves the welder's comfort. This is a key feature for long jobs at high temperatures, reducing fatigue and increasing overall productivity.

Combined with the Optrel e3000X blower unit, the set forms a respiratory protection system with the highest European protection class TH3 (to EN 12941).
