Optrel Sphere PAPR: helmet shell for the e3000/X air supply system
A professional Optrel Sphere helmet shell in the PAPR version, the base for building or repairing a certified respiratory protection system. It is designed for welders who already own an auto-darkening filter (ADF) from the Sphere series (e.g. crystal 2.0, e684, vegaview 2.5) and want to upgrade their workstation to the highest level of protection with an e3000 or e3000X air supply unit. It is a complete set with shell, headgear, face seal and integrated air duct, ready for you to fit your existing ADF. The ADF and the e3000/X blower unit are not included, you buy them separately.

This product follows the modular Optrel approach, where each component can be replaced on its own. The shell is designed to work with many Sphere series ADFs, so you can keep using a filter you already have that still works. It is made of high-quality plastic that resists heat and impact and holds up in demanding industrial conditions. This design lets you repair a damaged shell at low cost without buying a new, expensive ADF. It extends the service life and versatility of your welding equipment.
Ergonomic Optrel Comfort headgear
The set includes the proven Optrel Comfort headgear, well regarded by welders. It uses a telescopic mechanism and a precise adjustment knob, so you can adjust it exactly to the size and shape of your head. Its main job is to spread the weight of the whole helmet evenly, which removes pressure points and noticeably reduces neck fatigue during long shifts. Replaceable soft textile sweatbands add comfort and hygiene. Less fatigue means better concentration and productivity throughout the working day.
Integrated air distribution and face seal
This shell is more than a cover: it is a key part of the PAPR system. It comes factory-fitted with a precisely designed air duct and a flexible face seal. Once connected to the e3000/X filter unit, the duct distributes clean air evenly inside the helmet and creates positive pressure. This prevents eye irritation and gives an additional cooling effect on the forehead, while the seal keeps the whole system tight. This is required to reach the highest respiratory protection class, TH3. It is the component that turns the helmet into a certified health protection system.
