Creating positive pressure and TH3 protection
The face seal is the physical barrier between the inside of the helmet and the contaminated environment outside. Its exact fit to the helmet shell and to your face is a prerequisite for the PAPR system to work properly. It allows the e3000X filter unit to build up stable positive pressure that pushes fumes, dust and aerosols away and keeps them out of the breathing zone. This tightness is the basis for reaching the highest respiratory protection class, TH3 (EN 12941). A genuine, undamaged seal is a direct investment in the highest level of health protection.
Optimised airflow and thermal comfort
The seal is designed as an integral part of the air distribution system inside the helmet. It works with the internal air ducts to direct the stream of clean air evenly and precisely. The air first flows along the protective lens, which prevents fogging, and then gently passes over the face and forehead of the welder. This directed flow avoids unpleasant local draughts that could irritate the eyes and gives a noticeable cooling effect. This helps you work comfortably and stay focused for the whole shift.
