Permanent shade increase of +1.0 DIN
The 5000.175 inner lens is designed as a physical modifier of the optical properties of the auto-darkening filter (ADF). Once fitted, it raises the whole shade range of the helmet by one full DIN step. This means that a helmet with a 5-13 range will work in the 6-14 range with this lens installed. It is intended for applications with a very intense arc, such as flux-cored wire welding (FCAW) or high-amperage plasma cutting, where standard protection may not give full comfort. Being a hardware modification, it gives reliable and repeatable protection. This accessory lets you adapt your equipment to the heaviest jobs with maximum eye protection.
Full True Colour fidelity
This cover lens is more than a standard tinted cover. It was developed together with the True Colour technology that Optrel helmets are known for. Thanks to special coatings, the lens increases the shade without adding colour distortion or the green tint typical of simpler filters. You keep a clear, high-contrast and natural image of the weld pool and its surroundings. This lets you assess the process, check the temperature and read machine displays without lifting the helmet. You keep high optical quality and precision even after changing the standard helmet settings.
