Technology details

Perfect Optical Class 1/1/1/1, a Crystal-Clear Image

The 1/1/1/1 rating to EN379 is the highest possible standard for welding filters and guarantees an image free of distortion and optical defects. Each "one" refers to a key parameter: optical class (no distortion), diffusion of light (no haze), variation in luminous transmittance (uniform darkening) and angle dependence. In practice you see the weld pool and its surroundings with maximum sharpness and clarity, whatever your viewing angle. A 1/1/1/1 class filter is a direct investment in precise work, less eye strain and the ability to produce top-quality welds.

ShadeTronic® Technology, an Intelligent Shade Autopilot

ShadeTronic® is a fully automatic shade control system. An advanced light sensor constantly measures the intensity of the welding arc and adjusts the protection level in real time, without any action from you, in the range from 5 to 13 DIN. The filter darkens more at high welding current and lightens at low current, giving you ideal visibility and protection in typical workshop conditions. It is an investment in uninterrupted work and full concentration on the task, with no manual adjustment and no risk of working at the wrong shade.

True-Color View Filter, Realistic Colour Perception

Unlike conventional filters, which give the image a strong green tint, Optrel True-Color View technology lets a much broader spectrum of light through. Colours seen through the filter look natural and realistic. You can clearly distinguish the colours of the weld pool, the heat-affected zone and markings on the material, which gives you better control of the process. It is a valuable advantage that improves the quality of your work and significantly reduces eye fatigue during long jobs.

FadeTronic® Technology, Smooth and Comfortable Brightening

FadeTronic® changes what happens when the arc goes out. Instead of an abrupt jump from dark to light, the filter brightens smoothly and gradually over an adjustable time from 0.1 to 2.0 seconds. This patented mechanism eliminates the unpleasant "dazzle" effect that often occurs after welding stops, especially during frequent tacking. Your eyes can adapt comfortably to the change in light. FadeTronic® is an investment in the health and comfort of your eyes, minimising fatigue and letting you work longer and more productively.
