3Dprint AM Tool 55 is a low-alloyed, wear resistant solid wire for WAAM additive manufacturing.
The wire is fed continuously from the feeder and welded under shielding gas, from a semiautomatic torch. It rebuilds shafts, rollers, screws, blades and surfaces working under abrasion.

Lay the overlay in overlapping beads and watch the temperature of the part, an overheated piece will distort and crack at the layer boundary. Set the gas flow so the pool is covered over the whole length of the bead, and shield the station when you work in wind. Check the contact tip, a worn bore upsets the wire feed and causes burnback. Thinner diameters suit root runs and thin sheet, thicker ones the fill passes.
