Avesta FCW 2507/P100-PW is a rutile flux-cored wire for welding duplex and superduplex steels. It runs on chemical plants, desalination units, tanks and offshore structures made of duplex steel.
The slag covers the bead and cools slowly, so the face stays even and the transitions to the parent metal are smooth. You can weld in all positions, including vertical up and overhead. The wire suits tanks, pipelines and chemical or marine structures that need strength and corrosion resistance at the same time.
- Classification EN ISO: T 25 9 4 N L P M21 (C1) 2
- AWS classification: E2594T1-4 ; E2594T1-1
- Diameters: 1.2 mm
Do not quench the joint with water and do not force the cooling, too fast a cooling rate leaves too much ferrite in the weld. Hold the torch tilted slightly backwards so the slag flows behind the pool, not ahead of it. Remove the slag before every following bead, slag left between layers is the most common source of inclusions.
