The SNAKE 200 LED machine from MAGNUM is a light, portable power source built with inverter technology.
The machine runs from a single phase 230V supply, has a maximum welding current of 200A and a high 60% duty cycle. SNAKE 200 LED has a large multifunction LED display with a clear control panel that is easy to operate.
The machine is based on advanced technology using IGBT transistors, which means lower electromagnetic interference, small power losses, higher output and reliability of the current source and lower energy use. The machine has the HOT START, ARC FORCE, ANTI STICK, VRD. functions. Striking the arc and guiding the electrode is therefore very easy, even for welders with no experience at all.
- Adjustable ARC FORCE function - "arc dynamics" - a shorter arc comes with a rise of the welding current, which stabilises the arc whatever its length. A lower setting gives a soft arc and shallower penetration, a higher setting gives deeper penetration and the option of welding with a short arc,
- Adjustable HOT START function - a short rise of the welding current above the set value at the moment the arc is struck. This prevents the electrode from sticking in the first phase of welding and makes starting the whole process easier,
- ANTI STICK function - the anti short circuit function,
- VRD function (Voltage Reduction Device) - it cuts the supply within milliseconds after welding ends and lowers the voltage on the covered electrode to a safe level.
The SNAKE 200 LED welder is meant for work in fixed positions and on site, for all kinds of workshop, repair and construction jobs. The welder can also be used for TIG welding with a special TIG torch with a valve (TIG LIFT method). The arc is then struck by lightly scratching the non-consumable electrode on the workpiece.
