Migatronic RallyMig 266 is a transformer MIG/MAG welder with a copper winding. The documentation gives 205 A at a 35% duty cycle and 120 A at a continuous 100% load, with a welding voltage from 14 V to 21.5 V. Supply is 400 V with a 10 A fuse, and the torch plugs into a Euro connector.
What this machine is for
This is a simple workhorse for mild steel. The manufacturer aimed it at metalwork shops, farms and companies rebuilding machines, that is where continuity of work, easy handling and resistance to hall conditions count. A classic transformer takes dust and mains voltage drops better than inverter electronics, and repairing such a design is simpler and cheaper.
At 205 A you join steel structures from 6 to 8 mm thick in several passes: frames, gates, brackets, trailer parts and farm equipment. In continuous work the machine gives 120 A, so you run longer welds on thinner material without stops. The control is analogue, without synergic programs, so the welder sets the voltage and the feed, and you read the settings off the switch and the knob.
Features and equipment
- Transformer with a copper winding: copper carries current better and holds temperature during long work, so the arc is soft and predictable.
- Stepless inductance adjustment on the front panel: you tune the arc hardness to the material thickness, higher inductance gives less spatter and a better formed bead, so after welding there is less grinding.
- Two roll wire feeder: it drives hard steel wires with a steady pressure.
- Euro connector: you swap the torch for any other model with the same socket, without modifications.
- Voltage adjustment from 14 V to 21.5 V: a range for thin sheet and medium thicknesses of structural steel.

What to watch out for
The machine works from a 400 V mains, and the documentation gives a 10 A fuse. The torch is cooled by gas, so on long beads at high current take breaks to let the handle cool down. A 35% duty cycle at 205 A gives three and a half minutes of welding in a ten minute window, at 120 A you work without a limit, so plan thicker sections for several passes.
The working cables are 3 m each, and for a bigger part choose a longer torch for the Euro connector. The transformer design is heavy, so it is easier to move it around the hall on a trolley. The record gives no weight and no dimensions, so ask before transport. You match the rolls, the liner and the contact tip to the wire diameter, these are wear parts.
How we sell used machines
This unit was checked in our service workshop in Krotoszyn with measurements to PN-EN 60974-4 and a load test. The price includes the first year of the basic service package: an inspection with cleaning of the machine and a validation measurement. Further years can be added. We ship across the European Union, collection in person by appointment.
