We are the manufacturer, your guarantee of top quality
We build professional welding cables in our own workshop. That is why, when you buy at Spawlab.pl, you know that every part, from the cable to the holder, has been chosen with care. What is more, everything has been assembled with attention to the smallest detail. As a result, we guarantee uncompromising quality and full technical support.
Professional electrode cable 400 A / 5 m, power and reach for professionals
When you have to work at high power around sizeable objects, this cable is the answer. First of all, it combines a heavy 400 A rating with a comfortable 5 metre reach. In practice this means that you can move freely around large structures without worrying about power losses. That is exactly why it suits workshops and production plants where both strength and flexibility count.

Key features and benefits, an advantage in every detail
Heavy Duty 400 A Electrode Holder: A Firm Grip, Full Safety
Work at 400 A calls for the right tools. That is why we fitted this cable with an industrial 400 A electrode holder. First of all, its reinforced body and the insulating materials are made for high temperatures. What is more, enlarged jaws and a strong spring hold even the thickest electrodes securely. As a result, you gain safety and peace of mind, knowing that the holder will take the hardest conditions.
Thick 70 mm² Cable: Power Guaranteed Over Distance
To carry 400 A to the electrode over 5 metres you need a solid "motorway" for the current. Namely, an H01N2-D cable with a cross section of 70 mm² is exactly what you need. Thanks to that, it takes a very high current load with no risk of overheating. In the end, its low resistance means a low voltage drop, so the full power of the welder is available at the holder.
An Armoured Hydraulic Connection
A cable is only as good as its weakest point. For that reason, we join the cable to the plug by hydraulic crimping. In the end, this creates a monolithic joint that is mechanically very strong and conducts the current perfectly. So, you can be sure that this part will never let you down, even under the hardest work.
Proven quality: the calculation for 400 A / 5 m
A low voltage drop across the whole circuit is the key to a stable arc. That is why we show the calculation openly.
Step 1: Collecting the data
- Welding current (I): 400 A
- Total circuit length (L): 10 m (5 m electrode lead + 5 m earth lead)
- Cross section (A): 70 mm²
- Resistivity of copper (ρ): ≈ 0.0175 Ω, mm²/m
Step 2: Calculating the resistance (R)
R = (ρ × L) / A = (0.0175 × 10) / 70 = 0.0025 Ω
Step 3: Calculating the voltage drop (ΔU)
ΔU = I × R = 400 A × 0.0025 Ω = 1.00 V
Conclusion
As you can see, a voltage drop of only 1.00 V at 400 A over this distance is an excellent result. It means that the cable is designed to deliver full power exactly where you need it.
To sum up, with this electrode cable you get:
- 400 A of power together with a 5 metre reach for work on large objects.
- Safety and a firm grip thanks to the heavy duty 400 A holder.
- Minimal power losses and thermal protection thanks to the thick 70 mm² cable.
- Reliability for years, provided by the hydraulically crimped connection.
I recommend it
