Spartus ER308LSi is a low-carbon stainless TIG rod for austenitic 18 % Cr and 8 % Ni stainless steels. It suits pipes, tanks, railings and 304 parts that need a clean, corrosion resistant bead.
For AISI 301, 302, 304, 304L, 308 and 308L (1.4301, 1.4306, 1.4307). The raised silicon content (LSi) improves wetting, so the bead blends smoothly into the base metal.

Weld with DC, electrode negative, under argon. Keep the hot end of the rod inside the gas shield at all times, a rod pulled out of the shield oxidises and contaminates the weld. Degrease the rod and the joint edges first.
