SPARTUS Ultra VX27 is a specialised helmet for laser welding, cleaning and cutting, designed for maximum user protection. It is not just an auto-darkening filter that protects your eyes: it is a complete face protection system that, thanks to a special coating, also effectively protects against reflected and scattered laser radiation. The active filter provides protection in the 1000-1100 nm wavelength range at D LB7 + IR LB8, and the outer coating adds class 1000-1100 DIR LB8. The helmet is suitable for work with class 4 lasers and meets the requirements of EN 207:2017 and EN ISO 16321. Combined with the Ultra X powered air system, it forms a complete set for eye, face and respiratory protection, adapted to the requirements of industrial work.
EXCELLENT VISIBILITY AND PROTECTION
With optical class 1/1/1/2 and a response time of 1/25 000 of a second, the auto-darkening filter in the SPARTUS Ultra VX27 provides excellent visibility and darkens instantly the moment a flash is detected. The shade can be adjusted in two ranges, DIN 4-8 and DIN 8-12, so you can match the settings precisely to the intensity of the laser beam and the type of work. In standby the filter stays exceptionally light: the DIN 2 level gives you a clear view of the surroundings and details without removing the helmet, which makes it much easier to prepare the workstation and to work between welds.
ADVANCED OPERATING MODES AND FULL CONTROL
The helmet offers three operating modes: GRIND, MIX and DARK, which make it easy to adapt it to different tasks. MIX mode minimises eye fatigue during spot welding and when using high-power lasers by passing smoothly through intermediate shade stages. You can also freely adjust the sensor sensitivity and the delay before the filter returns to light, for maximum comfort and safety.
EASE OF USE AND ERGONOMIC DESIGN
The Ultra VX27 is not only about safety but also about comfort in everyday work. Thanks to its light construction and fully adjustable headgear, the helmet fits the user's head perfectly. Adjustment of the viewing angle and of the distance between filter and face, together with secure mounting, make the equipment ideal even for long periods of use.
ULTRA X POWERED AIR SYSTEM: RELIABLE RESPIRATORY PROTECTION
The integrated Ultra X PAPR system effectively cleans the air of dust and harmful aerosols and maintains a constant stream of clean air in the breathing zone. You can choose between two airflow levels: standard 170l/min and increased 210l/min, so the air supply can be matched to the process conditions. The lithium-ion battery ensures long operation on a single charge (up to 9h) and fast recharging. Visual, audible and vibration alerts warn you when the filter needs replacing or the battery needs recharging. The filter with 99.997% efficiency removes almost all contaminants, and simple maintenance keeps the system ready for operation.
The powered air system used with the SPARTUS Ultra VX27 helmet can additionally be fitted with A2 gas filters and ABEK1 filters, which increase protection in environments with organic vapours and hazardous gases. To make full use of them and ensure uninterrupted work in demanding conditions, a higher-capacity battery is recommended.
