Union AlMg 4,5 Mn is a TIG rod for welding aluminium and its alloys. It is used in transport, in the food industry and in structures that have to resist atmospheric corrosion.
TIG gives you full control over the heat input and a clean, smooth weld, so the rod suits root runs, thin walls and beads that have to look tidy without dressing.

Set the gas post-flow long enough for the pool and the electrode to cool under the shield. Grind the tungsten tip along its axis and hold a short arc, otherwise the pool spreads. Remove the oxide layer with a stainless steel brush right before welding, aluminium oxide melts far higher than the metal itself.
