Technical details and certification
Materials and construction
The strength of the apron comes from top quality grade A split cowhide with a guaranteed minimum thickness of 1 mm. This carefully selected material, from Weldas' own tannery, forms a solid barrier against molten metal spatter, intense radiant heat and mechanical damage. The seams are double stitched with very strong 5-ply DuPont™ KEVLAR® thread. The thread resists high temperature and flame, so the garment does not come apart at critical moments. Thanks to its modular design, the apron attaches quickly and securely to dedicated cape sleeves (for example 44-7800) and jackets, turning them into a full welding jacket with complete front protection.
Safety and certification
As an integral part of the Lava Brown™ clothing system, the 44-7820 apron meets the requirements of EN ISO 11611:2015, Class 2/A1+A2. This is the highest protection level for welding clothing, intended for the most hazardous work with heavy spatter and intense heat. Class 2 is required for processes such as MMA, FCAW or heavy MIG/MAG welding. Combined with a compatible cape sleeve, this product gives you safety at the highest level, certified and tested by independent bodies (TÜV).
