Materials and construction
The outstanding strength of the 44-7124 apron comes from top-quality grade A cowhide split leather (A-Grade side split cowhide) with a guaranteed minimum thickness of 1 mm. Thanks to its pliability and density, this material forms an excellent barrier against molten metal spatter, intense radiant heat and mechanical damage. All seams are sewn with the strongest thread on the market, 5-ply twisted DuPont™ KEVLAR® thread, which does not melt or burn and prevents the garment from falling apart at critical moments. To ensure maximum service life, all points exposed to stress, such as the strap attachments, are additionally reinforced with metal rivets.
Safety and certification
The Lava Brown™ apron is certified to EN ISO 11611:2015, Class 2/A1+A2. This is the highest possible protection level for welding clothing, intended for the most hazardous work that produces large amounts of spatter and intense heat (e.g. MMA welding, FCAW, gouging). When you choose this model, you invest in safety certified and tested by the renowned notified body TÜV, which protects health and life in extreme working conditions.
