Technical Details and Certification
Materials and Construction
The strength of the 44-7142 apron comes from carefully selected, top-quality A-grade split cowhide (A-Grade side split cowhide) with a guaranteed minimum thickness of 1 mm. The material is very supple and flexible, yet it forms a solid barrier against molten metal spatter and intense heat. Every seam is sewn with the strongest thread on the market, 5-ply twisted DuPont™ KEVLAR® aramid thread. This thread does not melt or burn at high temperatures, so the apron does not come apart at critical moments. All points exposed to the highest mechanical stress, such as the strap attachments, are additionally reinforced with metal rivets, which greatly extends the service life of the apron even with intensive daily use.
Safety and Certification
The Lava Brown™ 44-7142 apron is certified to EN ISO 11611 Class 2/A1+A2. This is the highest possible protection level for welding clothing, intended for the most demanding and hazardous welding processes that produce heavy spatter and intense heat. When you choose this model, you invest in safety tested and certified by the recognised notified body TÜV. Every Weldas product intended for the European market carries the CE marking, which guarantees compliance with strict safety standards.
