Materials and construction
The 44-2847 apron is made of carefully selected cowhide split leather with a guaranteed minimum thickness of 1 mm. This material is an excellent thermal and mechanical barrier that protects against hot spatter and radiation from the welding arc. All seams are sewn with extremely strong 3-ply twisted DuPont™ KEVLAR® aramid thread, which withstands high temperatures and stops the garment from tearing at the most exposed points. The construction is additionally reinforced with metal rivets at the points of highest stress. The well-thought-out cut, with full protection of the arms and chest, is an ideal compromise between maximum safety and thermal comfort: the back stays open for better air circulation.

The Golden Brown™ 44-2847 apron is certified to EN ISO 11611:2015, Class 2/A1+A2. This high level of protection qualifies the product for demanding welding processes such as MMA or high-current MIG/MAG.
