Weldas LAVA BROWN™ 44-7300 leather welding jacket (length 76 cm)

The Lava Brown™ clothing line is the Weldas flagship, described by many professionals as “perfection”. It was designed for welders working in the toughest industrial conditions, where absolutely uncompromising protection against thermal and mechanical hazards is required. It is the first choice for specialists in shipyards, pipeline construction, heavy steel structures and anywhere safety is the top priority.

Technical Details and Certification

Materials and Construction

The outstanding durability of the 44-7300 jacket starts with top-quality grade A cowhide split leather (side split cowhide) that is never thinner than 1 mm. It forms an excellent thermal and mechanical barrier against molten metal spatter, intense radiant heat and damage. The integrity of the construction is secured by seams sewn with the strongest thread on the market, 5-ply twisted DuPont™ KEVLAR® aramid thread. These threads do not melt or burn, so the garment does not come apart even at the most critical moments. Weldas designers thought of every detail: the points under the highest mechanical stress are reinforced with rivets, and the snap fasteners are fully electrically insulated. Importantly, the rivets are covered on the inside so that they do not conduct heat or current to the wearer's body.

Safety and Certification

The 44-7300 jacket is certified to EN ISO 11611:2015 in Class 2/A1+A2. This is the highest possible level of protection for welding clothing, intended for the riskiest processes that produce a lot of spatter and intense heat.
Class 2: Protection for heavy welding work (e.g. MMA, MIG/MAG at high currents, FCAW, gouging).
A1+A2: Limited flame spread tests (A1, surface ignition, A2, edge ignition).
With this model, you invest in top-level safety that has been certified and tested by the independent TÜV body.
