Product description

AirVision One: intelligent compressed air control

The AirVision One microprocessor controller is our latest offering among modern technology solutions for companies that want to automate their processes while keeping to the highest quality standards. AirVision One is a specialised control system fitted with a complete set of latest generation sensors and highly advanced transducers, which allow precise management of the compressor and of integrated auxiliary equipment.

The controller is designed to work with compressors rated up to 30 HP / 22 kW. It can run models with a three-phase motor in Y-Δ configuration as well as units with an inverter. The inverter is controlled via the Modbus RTU protocol, and you can select standard inverters from Yaskawa, Danfoss, ABB and Delta.

This versatility not only maximises the functionality and flexibility of the controller, but above all makes it a safe and cost-effective investment for the future. If at any time you decide to upgrade the compressor motor starting method or add an inverter, you will not face extra costs for replacing the controller.

Invest with us in modern, proven solutions for your business. Get to know the new Airpress controller.

Intuitive control panel and extensive warning system

The AirVision One controller has a clear 3.5 inch colour display that is practical and intuitive to use. It gives you convenient access to the menu, service and user parameters (with access control), the maintenance counter, the operating hours counter and all other functions. The screen also shows information about any anomalies detected while the unit is running.

The extensive error and warning messaging system keeps you informed at all times and helps you avoid troublesome breakdowns and costly downtime. The controller has 6 digital inputs for sensors or binary signals, and the logic (normally open / normally closed) can be configured individually for each input. Supported sensors and signals include:

  • Suction sensor
  • Dryer ready
  • Remote start, stop
  • Remote load, unload signal
  • Emergency stop
  • Phase supply asymmetry
  • Phase sequence error
  • Thermal error
  • Air filter error
  • Oil filter error
  • Separator error
  • AFOFSEP error (common error for separator, oil filter or air filter)
  • Fan error

With all these functions AirVision One significantly raises operating safety: it not only identifies emergencies and potential hazards in real time, but also responds to them automatically. Automatic restart and emergency stop functions ensure that a sudden power loss or an unexpected fault does not damage the whole system.

Remote monitoring and control

AirVision One has a built-in web server that allows remote viewing and control of the controller. In practice this means you can monitor operating parameters and change them in real time without being physically present at the compressor, using a dedicated platform and a connection over the company LAN. This solution provides an additional layer of protection against unauthorised access to the controller.

The controller has its own data memory, which gives access to the complete event history stored in the internal memory of the unit. Most compressor controllers on the market keep only a limited number of records, so a major advantage of the AirVision One is the ability to view all compressor operating data at any time and for any period. The controller can also generate detailed statistics whose analysis allows reliable diagnostics of the performance and efficiency of the whole system, as well as optimisation of operating parameters for the maximum benefit of your company.

Configuration to suit your needs and simple updates

The flexible configuration of the controller inputs and outputs of the AirVision One is worth highlighting. Besides setting the default logic for each of the 6 digital inputs for sensors or binary systems, you can also freely configure:

  • RTD inputs for resistance temperature sensors, separately for each input according to the selected sensor (PT100, PT1000, KTY84, PTC);
  • Analogue inputs for 4-20 mA sensors, with the measuring range adjustable from the controller;
  • Analogue input for current sensors to the 5 A standard, with the primary coil current set from the controller;
  • Relay digital outputs, 3 with a common potential and 4 with an independent supply, for integrating additional compressor equipment.

Another convenience is the software update of the AirVision One controller, which you can carry out via the USB port. Once you insert a USB stick into the port, you can follow the installation progress on the controller screen. When the update is complete, the unit restarts automatically and is ready to work with the fully updated software. It does not get any simpler.

Even more ways to monitor and control operating parameters

Besides all the additional functions, the basic and most important task of the controller is, of course, the ability to define the compressor operating parameters precisely, according to the needs and requirements of the compressed air system. At the most basic level this means setting the maximum and minimum tank pressure, so that the controller can manage the compressor according to these settings without further operator intervention. With AirVision One, however, this is only the beginning.

The AirVision One controller supports 2 pressure and temperature sensors, which allows extended monitoring:

  • of pressure, both in the network and in the oil;
  • of temperature, both of the oil and of the motor.

Motor current can be monitored thanks to an additional analogue input line working with a current transducer.

The clear advantage of the AirVision One controller over competing models is its broad set of functions for monitoring and controlling auxiliary equipment integrated with the compressor. With 7 relay digital outputs you can configure the controller to manage not only the compressor itself but also the fan, inverter, oil heater, dryer or condensate drain, all from one control panel, locally or remotely, within a single software package.

Functions that can be assigned to each of the seven digital outputs include:

  • Main power
  • Star
  • Delta
  • Y valve
  • Condensate drain
  • Fan
  • Air dryer
  • Heater 1
  • Heater 2
  • Warning
  • Error
  • Warning or error status
  • Ready
  • Running
  • Compressing
  • Maintenance

Save energy and optimise the processes in your company.

The high cost of producing compressed air has been discussed for years in the context of company energy efficiency. In practice, however, compressed air is the energy carrier with the greatest potential for energy savings, but only if a few important requirements are met. They all come down to a common denominator: compressed air becomes expensive when it is not controlled. This is exactly where AirVision One comes in.

All the functions described above and the capabilities of our controller let you not only effectively increase compressor output and significantly extend the life of the screw element, but also give you fuller control over energy consumption.

The AirVision One controller has an integrated network mode that can handle up to 4 compressors connected in a logical network within one compressed air system. This approach can bring surprisingly large savings by eliminating "overproduction" of compressed air and ensuring correct operating logic for the entire pneumatic system.

In network mode the controller optimises the number and sequence of compressors started in order to maintain the required pressure in the compressed air network with the lowest possible energy consumption. At every stage of the process the unit selects the most favourable combination of compressors to optimise their efficiency, reduce the number of starts and minimise the load on the machines, which extends their service life. As a result, AirVision One not only helps keep the equipment efficient and durable, but also effectively raises the energy efficiency of the entire compressed air system.

Another controller function that supports process optimisation in your company is the ability to schedule the operation of system components as recurring and one-off events (up to 5 events in total). This lets you, for example, program a weekly pressure schedule for the network. Planned timing and operating parameters for individual units not only bring additional electricity savings but, above all, let you manage the automation of the entire compressed air system in your company effectively.

Choose AirVision One from Airpress and take full control of the pneumatic system in your company.
