This ArcDrive program sets up the machine to weld with BFCW class wires, 1.2 mm, with M21 shielding gas. It covers short arc and spray arc, in manual and synergic mode.
What it is for
Each program covers one combination: wire, diameter, gas. You enter wire speed or material thickness and the machine selects voltage and arc shape. Use it for unalloyed and low-alloy steels in the workshop and in production. M21 is the most widely used mixture for structural steels.

Wire for this program
The program suits BFCW class wires from any manufacturer. BFCW is the designation used in the Böhler Welding price list; it stands for this wire type: basic flux-cored wire (BFCW). From the Böhler Welding range in our shop, diamondspark 52 BC matches this class.

FAQ
Will this program work on my machine?
Yes, as long as your machine is in the selection list above. ArcDrive has the widest machine list: it also covers TERRA NX 320/400 SMC SteelDrive and TERRA NX 400/500 MSE. You buy the program for one specific machine: give its model and serial number with your order. Installation (service visit or manufacturer update) is agreed after the order.
How does ArcDrive differ from PulseDrive?
ArcDrive welds with short and spray arc, without pulse. PulseDrive adds pulsed arc and double pulse, which helps on thin sheet and in position. The PulseDrive version of this program: PulseDrive 1.2 mm, gas M21 (79.P1.020).
Does it suit wire from any manufacturer?
Yes, if it is a basic flux-cored wire (BFCW) for unalloyed steel. The spool label will not show the abbreviation BFCW, so if in doubt send us the wire name before ordering.
