This PulseDrive program sets the machine up for pulsed arc welding with CuSi3 (ERCuSi) class wires, 0.8 mm, with I1 shielding gas. You get pulsed arc and double pulse, useful where the look of the weld face matters.
What it is for
A program is a set of synergic curves for one wire, one diameter and one gas: you set wire speed or material thickness and the machine selects voltage and arc shape. The program is meant for copper and bronzes. CuSi3 wire is also used for MIG brazing of galvanised sheet. Pure argon is the standard shield for aluminium, copper and nickel alloys.

Can I add this program to my TERRA NX or URANOS NX?
Yes, as long as your machine is in the selection list above. TERRA NX 320/400 SMC SteelDrive and TERRA NX 400/500 MSE are not listed for PulseDrive in the selection guide. You buy the program for one specific machine: give its model and serial number with your order. Installation (service visit or manufacturer update) is agreed after the order.
How does PulseDrive differ from ArcDrive?
ArcDrive means short and spray arc without pulse. PulseDrive gives pulsed arc and double pulse: less spatter and easier pool control. ArcDrive for this set-up: ArcDrive 0.8 mm, gas I1 (79.S1.098).
Does it suit wire from any manufacturer?
Yes, if the wire belongs to the CuSi3 (ERCuSi) class, which you can check on the spool label. If your wire is unusual, contact us before ordering.
