What it is for
A program is a set of synergic curves for one wire and one diameter: you set wire speed or material thickness and the machine selects voltage and arc shape. In the Böhler Welding price list the program is listed under unalloyed steel. A self-shielded wire needs no gas cylinder, which helps outdoors and in windy conditions.

Can I add this program to my TERRA NX or URANOS NX?
Yes, if your model is on the list above. ArcDrive has the widest machine list: it also covers TERRA NX 320/400 SMC SteelDrive and TERRA NX 400/500 MSE. You buy the program for one specific machine: give its model and serial number with your order. Installation (service visit or manufacturer update) is agreed after the order.
How does ArcDrive differ from PulseDrive?
ArcDrive welds with short and spray arc, without pulse. PulseDrive adds pulsed arc and double pulse, which helps on thin sheet and in position.
Can I use this program with a different wire?
The curves are tuned to UTP RB RAIL 30NG. Another wire may behave differently, so contact us and we will match a program to the wire you use.
