PulseDrive program for CuAl8 (ERCuAl) class wires, 1.0 mm, with I1 shielding gas. You get pulsed arc and double pulse, useful where the look of the weld face matters. It belongs to the Universal ARC line: it works with wires of this class from any manufacturer.
What it is for
A program is a set of synergic curves for one wire, one diameter and one gas: you set wire speed or material thickness and the machine selects voltage and arc shape. The program is meant for copper and bronzes. Pure argon is the standard shield for aluminium, copper and nickel alloys. A 1.0 mm wire is a good choice for thin and medium sheet.

Any machine on the list above. TERRA NX 320/400 SMC SteelDrive and TERRA NX 400/500 MSE are not listed for PulseDrive in the selection guide. Give the machine model and serial number with your order so we can confirm compatibility with its software. Whether our service installs it or it comes as a manufacturer update is settled after the order.
How does PulseDrive differ from ArcDrive?
ArcDrive means short and spray arc without pulse. PulseDrive gives pulsed arc and double pulse: less spatter and easier pool control. ArcDrive for this set-up: ArcDrive 1.0 mm, gas I1 (79.S1.095).
Does it suit wire from any manufacturer?
Yes, if the wire belongs to the CuAl8 (ERCuAl) class, which you can check on the spool label. If your wire is unusual, contact us before ordering.
