This PulseDrive program sets the machine up for pulsed arc welding with G3/4 Si1 (ER70S-6) class wires, 0.9 mm, with M13 shielding gas. Pulsed arc and double pulse make thin sheet and positional welds easier.
What it is for
Each program covers one combination: wire, diameter, gas. You enter wire speed or material thickness and the machine selects voltage and arc shape. The program is meant for unalloyed and low-alloy steels, which covers most structural work. M13 is argon with a small oxygen addition.

Will this program work on my machine?
Yes, if your model is on the list above. TERRA NX 320/400 SMC SteelDrive and TERRA NX 400/500 MSE are not listed for PulseDrive in the selection guide. You buy the program for one specific machine: give its model and serial number with your order. Installation (service visit or manufacturer update) is agreed after the order.
How does PulseDrive differ from ArcDrive?
ArcDrive means short and spray arc without pulse. PulseDrive gives pulsed arc and double pulse: less spatter and easier pool control. ArcDrive for this set-up: ArcDrive 0.9 mm, gas M13 (79.S1.148).
Does it suit wire from any manufacturer?
Yes, if the wire belongs to the G3/4 Si1 (ER70S-6) class, which you can check on the spool label. If your wire is unusual, contact us before ordering.
