This PulseDrive pulse program is set up for UTP AF ROBOTIC 6010 wire, 1.6 mm diameter, with M21 shielding gas. You get pulsed arc and double pulse, useful where the look of the weld face matters.
What it is for
Each program covers one combination: wire, diameter, gas. You enter wire speed or material thickness and the machine selects voltage and arc shape. This is a surfacing program: you use it to apply a layer that protects a surface or restores its dimensions.

Which machine can run this program?
Any machine on the list above. TERRA NX 320/400 SMC SteelDrive and TERRA NX 400/500 MSE are not listed for PulseDrive in the selection guide. Give the machine model and serial number with your order so we can confirm compatibility with its software. Whether our service installs it or it comes as a manufacturer update is settled after the order.
How does PulseDrive differ from ArcDrive?
ArcDrive means short and spray arc without pulse. PulseDrive gives pulsed arc and double pulse: less spatter and easier pool control. ArcDrive for this set-up: ArcDrive 1.6 mm, gas M21 (79.S1.27399).
Can I use this program with a different wire?
The curves are tuned to UTP AF ROBOTIC 6010. Another wire may behave differently, so contact us and we will match a program to the wire you use.
