Böhler Welding drive roll with a U groove for aluminium wire 1.0 to 1.2 mm, for the SF 2R drive in the URANOS 2000 SMC.
What it is for
Aluminium is soft: a U groove does not bite into the wire like a sharp V groove, so the wire is not flattened and does not jam. Replace it when you change wire or the groove wears. URANOS 2000 SMC comes with 0.8 to 1.0 mm rolls; the price list gives solid wire 0.6 to 1.0 mm, aluminium 0.8 to 1.0 mm and cored 0.9 to 1.2 mm for it.

How many rolls do I need?
The SF 2R-1T drive has two rolls, one driven; it works with the smooth upper roll 07.01.325. The price is for 1 pc.
Will a V roll do for aluminium?
Better not: a V groove bites into soft wire. For aluminium use a U roll and a PTFE carbon liner in the torch.
