What FOXcore C 9 MV MC metal-cored wire is used for

FOXcore C 9 MV MC is a high alloyed, creep resistant metal-cored wire for creep resistant martensitic 9 to 12 percent chromium steels.

Base materials are 1.4903 and ASTM A 335. The wire is used on boilers and pressure vessels under statutory inspection, and its deposit resists creep at elevated temperature.

Use brushes and discs kept only for stainless steel, carbon steel particles cause rust staining on the bead face. Set the parameters for spray arc, in the short arc range a metal-cored wire loses its deposition advantage. Keep the gas cover complete, without a full slag layer the pool is more sensitive to draughts. Match the diameter to the material thickness and the welding position, thinner wires are easier to control out of position.
