The GYSTEC 160 LA is an advanced, single-phase inverter MMA (Manual Metal Arc) and TIG Lift Arc welder, supplied in an attractive, colorful box. It is compact and lightweight, powered by 230V and protected by a 16A fuse. It offers adjustable welding current in the range of 10 to 160 amps, allowing welding of steel, stainless steel and cast iron with electrodes from 1.6 to 4 mm in diameter (MMA) and TIG DC welding with rubbing ignition (additional TIG holder with gas valve required).

The GYSTEC 160 LA features advanced inverter technology with microprocessor control, which ensures excellent welding properties and a stable arc in both MMA and TIG modes.

The welder is equipped with a number of features to facilitate MMA welding:

Hot Start: Facilitates arc ignition at the beginning of welding.
Arc dlace: Stabilizes the welding arc, providing better penetration and preventing electrode sticking.
Anti-Sticking: Prevents the electrode from sticking to the material being welded.
In TIG Lift Arc mode, the welder enables precision welding of thin steel and stainless steel materials. The arc is ignited by gently rubbing the electrode against the material to be welded, which minimizes the risk of contaminating the weld.

GYSTEC 160 LA has a simple and intuitive control panel with a display, allowing easy adjustment of welding parameters. It is protected against overvoltage up to 400V (PROTEC 400) and is suitable for generator operation (+/- 15%).

The kit, which comes in a color-coded box, usually includes a ground wire with clamp and an electrode holder for MMA welding. The TIG holder and other TIG welding accessories are usually available separately.
