Weldas SOFTouch™ 10-1004 welding gloves
The SOFTouch™ glove series was designed from the ground up for the specific and demanding requirements of TIG (WIG) welding. Unlike high-energy processes, TIG welding demands exceptional precision, a steady hand and excellent feel from the operator. Every design element of the SOFTouch™ gloves answers these needs and makes them an ideal tool for professionals for whom every millimetre of the weld counts.

Materials and construction
The outstanding precision of the 10-1004 model comes from a careful choice of materials and a well thought-out design. The palm section is made entirely of goatskin grain leather, valued for its softness, flexibility and strength, which lets you handle even the thinnest welding wire with ease. A key feature of the SOFTouch™ series is the deliberate omission of an inner lining. This design choice greatly increases fingertip sensitivity and lets the welder precisely “feel” the material. The close-fitting cut makes the glove sit on the hand like a “second skin” and removes loose material that could get in the way of the work. The glove is sewn with very strong KEVLAR® thread, which ensures that the seams do not burn through at high temperatures.
Safety and certification
The 10-1004 gloves are certified to EN 12477 Type B. The “Type B” classification is intended for gloves where high dexterity is the priority, as needed in precise welding processes such as TIG. This means the gloves provide an appropriate level of protection against the hazards typical of this process without restricting the movement of your hands and fingers. The gloves are also tested to EN 388 (mechanical hazards) and EN 407 (thermal hazards), which guarantees certified protection.
