Technical Details and Certification
Materials and Construction
The strength of these bib overalls comes from top-quality Class A split cowhide with a guaranteed minimum thickness of 1 mm. Thanks to its suppleness and flexibility, the material gives not only an excellent barrier against molten metal spatter and intense heat but also working comfort. All seams are double-stitched with 5-ply DuPont™ KEVLAR® thread, the strongest on the market, which does not melt or burn and stops the garment from coming apart at critical moments. The points under the greatest mechanical stress are additionally reinforced with metal rivets that are covered on the inside so they do not conduct heat to the body. The 44-7248 model has an open back, which is key to better ventilation and thermal comfort during long work.
Safety and Certification
The 44-7248 bib overalls are certified to EN ISO 11611:2015, Class 2/A1+A2. This is the highest possible protection level for welding clothing, intended for the most hazardous manual welding processes that produce heavy spatter and intense radiant heat. Every Weldas product goes through rigorous testing at recognised notified bodies such as TÜV, which ensures a verified and dependable level of safety.
