At the heart of the SYNC platform is a radical simplification that removes the most common source of problems in plasma cutting. Instead of managing five separate parts (electrode, nozzle, swirl ring, retaining cap and shield), the operator handles only one integrated cartridge. That guarantees a perfect factory fit of all the components every time, which gives a more focused and stable arc. Worth knowing: the cartridges are colour coded, which makes them even easier to identify: grey ones are for mechanised cutting (as in this kit), yellow for hand cutting, green for gouging and black for special applications such as cutting in places that are hard to reach. This innovation does not only cut the changeover time to a few seconds, it above all gives repeatable, top cut quality and up to twice the service life compared with traditional consumables.

Every SYNC cartridge holds a built in RFID microchip that communicates wirelessly with the torch and the power source. Once the cartridge is installed, the system recognises it immediately and sets not only the correct current but also the right operating mode (cutting or gouging for example). This function removes the risk of human error completely, which in traditional systems could lead to damaged material or premature wear of the parts. On top of that, the intelligent system tells the operator when the cartridge is worn and has to be replaced, which lets you use its full potential without risking a drop in cut quality. It is like having a Hypertherm expert who supervises every operation and keeps the settings optimal 24/7.

A power of 65 amperes is the absolute "sweet spot" for most workshops that process metal. It gives great versatility and allows efficient and fast cutting of the most common material thicknesses (steel sheet from 3 mm to 15 mm for example), while it still holds enough power in reserve for the occasional cut through thicker parts up to 20 mm. Worth knowing: the Powermax65 SYNC system is fully compatible with the special FineCut® cartridges, which together with a CNC table give remarkably precise and almost dross free edges on thinner sheet, which is ideal for producing parts, signage or work in the arts. The 083327 kit with a 7.6 m lead is the best solution for compact CNC tables, where ergonomics and easy installation count.
